Statue of Architectural Award 2012 International Competition

1. General Regulations
1.1. The "Architectural Award" (hereinafter - Competition) is an international public open competition in the field of urban development and architecture.

1.2. The Competition Organizer is the Publishing house “Salon-Press”.

1.3. The Competition is held among architects, architectural and design professionals offices.

1.4. The projects submitted to the Competition in the categories of private houses, public areas, commercial buildings, renovated facilities, small architectural forms and unrealized scale architectural projects: territorial development, made in 3D-MAX. Projects are accepting, regardless of their location.

1.5. The Competition objective is to select the best projects and to encourage the architects who make a valuable contribution to contemporary architecture and interior design development.

1.6. The Competition categories and nominations are annually approved by the Organizing Committee.

1.7. The working paper of the Competition is the Statue of Projects Submission Rules. The Statue defines project requirements.

1.8. The project with the most points by a vote of the Professional Jury regardless of the nominations will be awarded by the Grand Prix.

1.9. Each nominees of the Competition receive the Diplomas of nominees.

1.10. The Prizewinners awarded Laureate Diplomas and the prize - a statuette “ArchiP”.

1.11. Each project can be submitted to the only one approved Competition category.

1.12. The Competition executive body is the Organizing Committee working under the Statue of the Organizing Committee.

 

2. Nominations of the Competition
2.1. The projects can be submitted to the following categories:

  • Residential building (completed projects of private houses)
  • Residential building (completed projects of multi-storey buildings)
  • Commercial building (completed projects, whose customer which is a private investors)
  • Public building (completed projects, whose customer is a State)
  • Renovation (reconstructed objects)
  • ENVIRONMENTAL design (the small architectural forms objects)
  • Conceptual Architecture (unrealized scale and architectural projects, territorial development made a 3 D-MAX)

 

3. Laureates option
3.1. The Prizewinners are selected by the Professional Jury working under the Statue of the Professional Jury.

 

4. Competition Announcement and Competition Period
4.1. Architectural Award 2010-2011 is a Competition is annual Competition. The closing date of the previous competition is the opening date of the next one.

4.2. All the changes of Competition categories are announced in the beginning of the year of awarding.

4.3. The changes announcement contains:

  • Themes (nominees) of the current year;
  • Project submission rules;

4.4. The Competition announcements are published in the special issues, professional websites, done e-mailing for architects, architectural firm, professional unions and communities, etc.

 

5. The Competition Schedule
5.1. According to the Statue of Projects Submission Rules all the entries must be submitted to the Organizing Committee till February 15, 2012 by way of, stipulated in Position of reception of projects on Competition Architectural Award.

5.2. Estimation of the submission has two stages:

5.2.1. From 01.08.2011 till 15.02.2012: the Organizing Committee accept the projects; the preliminary estimate of projects, distribution them among the Competition categories will be carried out by Advisory Council.

5.2.2. From 21.02.2012 till 04.03.2012: The Organizing Committee select winners in the Competition nominations, approve the results of voting.

5.3. The projects nominated for "Architectural Award” are presented at the exhibition. The date of the exhibition is determined by the Organizing Committee, but not earlier then February 15, 2012.

5.4. The Prizewinners are announced at the "Architectural Award" awarding ceremony. The date of ceremony is given by the Organizing Committee, but not earlier then February 15, 2012.
